I've used match by Borch for a number of cities. The Florence map is just too cluttered on the old renaissance streets near the city center, which is often where you'll need to navigate if you are a typical tourist. If you are visiting Florence, you'll have better luck with the larger scale maps the hotels distribute to guests.

I have used the Borch laminated maps for my trips to Europe and while it might be old-fashioned in today's digital world, I absolutely love these maps. So consider this a review of Borch maps in general Here's why I love them so much:1. I get a terrific overview of the town and general area I am visiting. The map gives you several views of the town - from high level overview to great detail of the town center. On the detail maps, important sights and locations are highlighted with a numbered box which refers to a legend on the side with a description of what's there. The overview that you get from this map is worth the price of the map alone.2. Being laminated and made out of stiff material - this map is bullet proof. Even so - it folds down to a minimum of 9.5" by 4.25" width and fits quite easily into my messenger bag. Rain will not damage it at all.3. Again due to its rugged construction, when walking around a typical downtown section of an old European city, you can fold the map to have just the relevant section showing - and not worry about damaging the map.4. There is a list of streets with map coordinates to assist you in that manner.5. Public transportation lines, and bus and train stations are noted on the map, along with tourist sights, churches, post offices, theaters and police stations.As for map app's available today - I think Google maps on a smartphone is probably better for getting walking or public transportation directions. But for getting an overview of the town and to plan out a general game plan for the most efficient way to get around a city, these maps are - in my opinion - superior. And these maps work all the time. If you need directions from a local resident, the directions can be pointed out to you on the map with no language barrier.If available, I always take a Borch map with me to the town I am visiting. Well worth the relatively low price. HIghest possible recommendation.

Borch Maps in my opinion are the best out there as they have the popular spots marked on the map and are laminated so that you can mark them up yourself and then wipe them clean when you are done. Love them.

Helpful and doesn't take up a lot of room. Easy to carry around

This map will be great for upcoming trip to Italy. We are planning our daily excursions and the ways to get to our desired venues. We want to walk when we can but also want to maximize our visits with Rome's history. We had borrowed a map from friends and thought we were getting the same item but this map is a bit smaller even though it meets our needs. Check to be sure this is what you want if you are looking for a particular map. The description are multilingual which is also a great plus.

I am big fan of the smal laminiated Streetwise city maps, since they are great for getting your bearings. This is similar, but much larger.

This is the second time that I have bought this map, some how I manged to lose my first copy. This is the best nap of the central Florence area that I have found.

The map was highly detailed and included many points of interest not listed on tourist maps. Having the names in Italian made comparing to street signs a snap. Highly detailed information made transit easy. Heavy laminated card stock makes the map an excellent long-term investment.

I purchased this book as a gift for my 3 year old, who is absolutely enamored with the moon and the sun at her young age. It is a great intro book for young readers interested in the moon, but it is a little mature for my 3 (and 6) year olds to understand fully. I'd say it's great for 7-10 year old readers and older readers , as I will admit I found great interest in the book and learned a lot myself from it...And I'm 36!The illustrations are clear and vivid, and they held my babies (and my) attention from first to last page. The wording flows easily and isn't overwhelming or extra lengthy...so although my girls didn't understand everything I read, they understood much of it. The book is well made and large, making it easy for smaller hands to hold for interactive reading. I recommend this book for every young astronomer in the making, even younger ones, who will eventually grow to grasp the concepts in the book!

Loved how it explained the phases of the moon with the CORRECT images - those images made perfect sense and really get kids to understand the perspective. I have looked at a number of books on the moon and this was the best for young kids. There are no photographs in here, but the drawings are very well done. Plus there are lots of facts in here which could lead to other lines of study. One page does discuss that ancient people thought the moon was a god - you could skip that page easily if you wanted to.

This is done by the author in her classic style (the way I love) of giving great information in a FUN, SIMPLE, and EASY to read way! I would say this would be a great book to introduce in a classroom for teachers K-2 teaching on the subject as well. A WONDERFUL Gail Gibbons option, especially when you can get it on Amazon for a fraction of the price...I paid $5 including shipping!!

I got this book to go with the Uncle Milton Moon in My Room, and I'm glad I did. The moon toy is a light-up moon that hangs on the wall and lights up with a remote control. I use this book as a bedtime storybook along with the 'moon' on the wall, to teach my grandson about phases of the moon, tides, satellites, and the solar system, eclipses and other stuff. We also read the book when we look at the real moon through our telescope. It's easy to understand, visually appealing, and interesting.

Again, this was purchased for my grandson who is 4 years old and infatuated with the moon! I sent this one home so his mom can read it with him and she informs me that it is at the top of his reading list!

This is a wonderful book to use when teaching the phases of the moon. My third grade students really enjoyed it. I first read the whole book aloud, then I broke it into different sections as we learned about the moon. I also recommend it if you are teaching your students about informational texts. This is just one great example of how an author can present information in different ways.

I felt compelled to write a review in light of the earlier review trashing this book. Indeed, this is a dry list of things to do with no information on how to do them. It is NOT meant for general reading. All the books in this series are specifically created to help treating professionals write treatment plans (Treatment Planners) or create progress notes (Progress Note Planners) using language that is potentially helpful for insurance companies or other agencies that may require objective documentation. Some professionals may find these books of little use but the general population will likely have absolutely no reason to use these manuals.

The whole style of this book is very dry and not usersfriendly. The book consists of long lists of objectives and therapeutic interventions each 1 or 2 lines. Sometimes more then 40. It tells you all the time WHAT to do ( exc. [*] emotional impact or educate the patient on effects of stress on symptons)but NEVER HOW .This information is not very helpfull. Everybody knows for example that walking 20 minutes a day is healthy but HOW do you get somebody to do it.That should be the focus of behavioral medicine ( it s about getting to healthy behavior, no ?)This important part: HOW to get to behavior change is not present in this book.
