I'm disappointed with the number of typographical errors and inconsistencies in this textbook. Anyone purchasing the book probably does not have the choice but to purchase it. Just keep these issues in mind as you try to complete the homework assignments. Multiple problems provide incorrect information.
I’ve worked in supply chain for the last 6 years and I don’t even understand this book. I have never read a textbook with so many noticeable errors in it. God help you if English isn’t your first language.
Came in perfect condition
This is the worst textbook I've ever been required to use. I read often and consider myself to have above average comprehension skills. The sentence structure is confusing, misleading, and there are tons of run-on sentences. I've never written a product review for a textbook, but after suffering through the first few chapters of this one I felt compelled to do so. If you have another option, avoid this book.
This book is targeted for a wide range of reader's prior knowledge in Supply Chain and Operations Management. It lays out the basics so anyone without sufficient knowledge in supply chain or operations management can pick it up and follow the concepts. At the same time, it is not painfully basic where experienced professionals would find it dull. This third edition is recent enough (2016) to stay current to the fast changing trends in systems innovations. I praise the editorial, McGraw Hill and Authors, for the layout of the book, including definitions, identifiable logos, key terms, and lots of use of images, figures and tables. The concepts are so easy to follow.
